Sunday’s Chat — 8th blood donation & Christmas holidays!

It had been a while sine I overshared with you guys, as I actually haven’t done one at all in November. So get something to drink, and let’s chat! 😊

I finally got the chance to donate blood again 🥰 With my “over-working” schedule and only one day off at the time, it’s quite tedious to be able to go anymore.. so I was really happy that I was able to go for the holidays!! Which is even more important, with the increases of accidents and all. [Drunk drivers, winter in general, etc.]

It was my 8th one- I want to try to atleast give as much as my dad gave all thoses years.. which ofcourse is harder because women can’t give as much in a year’s time & the roundabout until you can give again in longer. He hestimated having donated around 50/55 times so we have some potatoes to eat here! ahah 😅 but i’m almost at 10 already and i’m quite happy about that!

 

This year, I also opted to take my holiday vacations! I am usually one to work Christmas, my birthday AND New year’s.. because why not. But this year, i’m taking my birthday week off – Which means from the 26th Dec to 1st January, the 25th being the only day we’re closing the store, so I’m actually getting 8days off paid! 👏🏼

Sadly, I have quite a “broken” family on my dad side, and mother’s changed alot in the last year as our family house (my grandmother’s) just got sold so we got nowhere to go anymore.. So we aren’t gonna have much holidays festivities. Mix it with the current covid crisis & the winter time in general that’s unpredictable with it’s storms.. which makes it kinda hard to travel the 3hrs car ride to go back home (the roads could be fine here, but then you get to the halfway point and you can’t see anything because of blizzard)

My wish for my vacations would be to be able to go home for a few days; do a little something again with my bestfriend, and going to see my father’s mother at her carehome — last time I saw her I was with Alex, going for my uncle’s wedding.. which is about 3yrs since I haven’t seen her. I would also like to go see my Aunt’s grave on our birthday.. maybe even take a picture with it if I can.
