New year, New shelves!!
Good morning!
Sometimes, changing some furnitures or even books around can be so therapeutical.. in fact, I do change my room furnitures all the time but rarely reorganise my shelves. Which is an area that I LOVE to use for taking book pictures; as I did a pretty good haul, posted in two parts [part 1, part 2 coming on the 5th], I figured it’d be nice to make some more room before everything arrived! 😅 And who doesn’t love snooping on other’s shelves & organisation amiright?
Psst; don’t forget to go check my insta for a few snaps of what the before looked like
Unfortunately, I didn’t thought of taking a picture before I started moving stuff around, as I thought I had taken one already.. but I was mistaken 😅 The last one in my Shelfie tag had been taken way before when it was still half empty.. Whoops!
I only took picture of the different “square” of the bookshelf that I moved – the rest had stayed untouched, you’ll see them in the last picture.
First I worked on the bottom of the bookshelf, the middle square used to have one of those “table pillows” thing – so I put all my notebooks/magazines/etc. down there and also one of my french shelves, as one of my other goal had been to move my French sections in smaller squares to be able to have more room for English Books.
Though I can still fit some more and rearrange that specific square to place more, I just have WAY more english books that I keep rather than French, as I had more trouble finding good ones lately.
My Hardcover Rainbow-ish shelf had been my favorite, so I expended that one as my Rainbow-ish paperback too. Again, I gained so much hardcovers on my unread shelf.. I wanted to make sure that I could fit them in there!
The main one that I used on Insta alot had been my Ruth Ware/Matt Haig novels, as of which I decided to shrink that one up.. for the sole reason that nothing really fit in it anyway..
Lastly, my unread shelf! Well, Shelves now as I choosed to expend it to TWO squares. They were barely fitting on one already and I have six books still on their way 😅 The nice thing here is that as I clean and shrink it back down, I can create another English book square.
* Drum Roll *
Here’s the final result, with a Bonus Majora! As you can tell, I don’t really have any complex organisation or anything.. I just choosed to separate French/English aswell as Read/Unread.
How do you organise your shelves?
What a colorful and fun bookshelf!
Thank you 🥰
The two most colourful are my special favorites – but more the hardcovers, I killed zoe spanos being my first painted edges!!
