Good morning!
Love me some cat’s themed healing fiction, but this one has a twist- we’re having the cat POV too!

4 ⭐️ / 5 stars
We’re having quite a lot of different POV at the same time in this one- a total of 5 with the cat POV! However, I didn’t find it too difficult to follow as they’re all related to each other. Something I love in healing fiction, is how everyone will have their positive character growth- with the twist of everyone’s having it because of Cat, that is the common denominator among them.
Hence the brilliant title; Cat’s people. The feline’s name is cat, and they’re all his people! The chapters were short, which made me finish this book so much faster!
The way I cried when they all came together, all five of them, to support Cat near the end.. having been to the emergency vet last month, The feel was just right; even the random dude waiting with the turtle was invested in knowing if Cat was gonna make it! Thanksfully, he does!
« There was moments when he did want to die– moments that were fleeting but there nonetheless. Other times, he was happy to be alive, hoping for something miraculous to happen so he could enjoy his life again. »
« If Conchita could see him she surely would give him a piece of her mind, saying something like, “He is also God’s creature, Bong. And all of God’s creatures, even strays, deserve kindness”. »
« Maybe the key to a happier life was doing things for others. Other people. Other beings. »
« Was this how inside cats lived? Regular meals in shiny metal bowls, comfy beds, walls that made them feel safe? It was a bit of a revelation, really. Cat had always assumed that inside cats were like prisoners. But maybe he’d been wrong all along. »
« If she stopped showing up one day, would the cats miss her too? Or would they just miss the food? People always joked that if a cat owner was murdered, their cat wouldn’t care; (…). Núria dissagreed though. Cats did form bonds. »
« That’s probably why she preferred the company of cats. There was no pretend when it came to her feline companions. »

Fab review! I would already read it for the cat POV alone, but the whole story sounds wonderful.
Right? I love animal POV! I wasn’t anticipating it either, so happy surprise 🤭
