We are doing the July 21st prompt; Books That Live in My Head Rent-Free (submitted by Emma @ damppebbles.com)
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
To be honest, I had to go dig a little- as, of course, now that I have to think about the books that I’m constantly thinking about, nobody’s home 😅 Alas, here’s my list;
➛ Watermoon, Samantha Sotto Yambao ; Playing Infinity Nikki really makes me think of this one! The cranes, the ones in charges of the wishes.. the feel in general.
➛ Krampus, David Bédard ; As much as I didn’t kept that one, it’s one of the “Les contes Interdits” that stucked in my head the most! Using incarcerated kids to feed Krampus, while the person is hiding behind a speel room so he can’t see him was a wild ride.
➛ Kill creatures, Rory Power ; Especially the near-ending.. won’t reveal the twist.
➛ Vous êtes cordialement invités 2: le couvent des pascalines, Alex Sol ; The best in the two that i’ve read- a manor stuck in another century where nuns kept pregnant teenagers, killing some of them to sell their babies. One in particular had been burried under the manor, her spirit calling to her distant relatives to come free her, while the ghost nuns fight against it.
➛ Vous êtes cordialement invités, Alex Sol ; This one aswell, although for a different reason – the scene in particular where a spirits of a killed sister has took host of the MC’s friend.. to vanish from her body when they tried to exorcism her, their friend’s soul then leaving her body, trapping her.
➛ The full moon coffee shop, Mai Mochizuki ; While reading “Soyangri book kitchen”, I found myself thinking about this one- I need to reread the FMCS!
➛ Under the surface, Diana Urban ; Okay i’ve been telling myself I NEED to reread this one, especially with the catacombs maps included, I feel like I could situate myself better the second time around.
