Sims 4; Realm of Magic ☆ My impressions!

Good morning!

Switching from “my review” to “my impressions”, because of course there’s always some things to discover in a video games and it’s mainly only my thoughts on it.

As you could probably guess, I did have played a rather handful of hours, but there’ll still be a bit missing from this as I haven’t been in the best mental place lately because of the break up .. I’ve been playing but I haven’t really been “there” — so my apology for that.

The first thing I wanted to see, was our new world !! I gotta say it kind of dissapointed me a bit .. why must the new worlds gotta be so tiny ? My favorite world is honestly the one from the living with pets pack, still un-throned!

If you notice the little “rainbow door” at the far left on the river, this is the realm of magic’s hidden world – where you get a rather big place where you have a QG, a little shop placements to buy anything magical you may need (update every game day), a magical garden and a duel field.

 

As with every new packs, I now needed to do a new family to start a new game in this new world 😂 I do that legit every time, and then proceed to forget about my past family *aherm* — I made a female witch (duh!) with a doggy companion. As I basically never use colorful hair colors AND scars/unusual body features, I decided to go for it with her ! I decided the scar was made as she was clumsily doing her magic and something wrong happened xd (before that my theory was “THE GIRL WHO LIVED!!! but too harry potter-y)

I love the new clothes SO MUCH!! We got two new aspirations in this pack, witches related – one for potions and one for the spells learned. I’m however kind of sad we didn’t received any new traits; I love to have different traits for my sims ! and after a while.. you kind of run out of traits XD

 

Finally, after a couple of hours, ahaha up to the gameplay !!
I actually love their new need bar! 😍 I however didn’t seen much change with the crystal ball at the top who’s supposed to tell you when your magic is “high” rather than normal — and just like vampires, you can see your progress on the bottom as to when you can lvl up and how you can distribute your witch’s traits.

 

There’s familiars too !! I don’t quite know what they do other than just.. hang around your sims and encourage it when they create new potions/learn new spells yet (nor how many you can have) — but so far i’ve gotten three.

The skull one is a “rare” that I found while trying to get potion’s ingredients, the fairy got donated to me after leveling up (I called her Navi, of course, Zelda related!) and I also discovered that you can get your pets as a familiar aswell.

 

 

That’s sadly how far i’ve gotten yet!
However, I quite love having magic back. though, as i’m someone who like to just stay in my home and not move from it- the fact that the magic world is in an entirely different world kind of bothers me a little.. But that’s just me and i’ve definately went there way more often than I would’ve.
