FALLing in Love 🧡
Hello friends!
Back with my third #BookendingAutumn post! I actually didn’t thought I’d do this one because at first I didn’t really know what trope I love.. but I loved to read the other’s post and actually got some ideas!
So today’s prompt is from Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads, for the 13th of October
[her post right here]
➔ Falling in love
Autumn is for walks in the brisk air, drinking lattes, wearing matching scarves and hats, jumping in piles of leaves… wait! Is this sounding a little tropey to you? Let’s talk about some of our fave (and not so fave) romance tropes.
🧡 Enemy to Lover;
yep, let’s start by a rather popular one! There’s just something delectful reading about two people that start by not liking each other to have that realization of «waait a minute. what I feel isn’t hate. Could it be?? Noo…»

🧡 Friends to Lover;
I actually quite love both of them (enemies & friend). Particularly if they’ve been friends for YEARS, or even if they grew up together. Bonus points if one of them secretly always loved the other but never expressed it.

🧡 Bad boy meets Perfect/Popular girl
This one I love alot – Though the bad boy don’t need to change to be a good man for his “perfect” girl. It’s even better when they remains how they are, and you have love among two people not being from the same “world” — The bad boy might remain a rebel from the outside world, but is a tiny bit sweeter to the one he loves.

🧡 Knight in Shining Armor
I’ve always been drawn to this one .. The guy being stronger, he protect his princess with all he has (although sometimes, that doesn’t means the girl can’t fight for herself!)

🧡 The Love-Denial
For whatever reason, it CAN’T be this person they’re in love with. and so they try to push it away and continue living with someone else (hopefully). But sooner or later, they realize it IS actually this person that they’re meant to be with and end up with them instead, no matter how much they didn’t wanted to at first. The angst and our need to wake-slap the character to make it actually go WITH THEMM instead…

And that’s all that I could think of, at the moment! It’s pretty rare that i’m fully repulsed by a trope.. except maybe cheating. Although insta-love is highly hated within the community, I actually had a story of my own with that soo 😅 I mostly fall for everything romance, no matter how cliché *aherm*
Which trope(s) are you a sucker for?
Ooooh!! I’ll be reading Letters to the Lost soon and you’re making me want to read it now!!!! I didn’t know it was a good girl / bad boy story!! 😍
It IS!! Omg I loved that book so much, I hope you do too 🥰
