New Year Book Tag! ✨
Good morning, peeps!
Yep, we are just gonna continue onto my “New Year posts’ strike” here 😂 ahah
[only separing this one and the other three with a review in-between; Things I need to remind myself of in 2020, end of 2019 start of 2020 Bujo post & Resolutions/Goals 2019 VS 2020].
I’ve been tagged by the creator of this, Isabelle @ Nine Tale Vixen the other day and felt like this was just a perfect one for today, as i’ve been KOed by an awful headache and so.. this is a “easy” one to do 😅 I also don’t wanna push it too far away either because well – it won’t be the new year no more, you feel me?!
Auld Lang Syne: A Childhood Favorite You Want to Reread
It’s not THAT deep into childhood, as it was teenager-me (atleast 13? maybe?), but I found two that’s sitting on my shelves and I SO wanna reread; Gabrielle Zevin’s “Memoirs of a teenage amnesiac“, and Simone Elkeles’s “Perfect Chemistery”
In With the New: The Most Recent Addition to Your TBR
That would be Lexa Hillyer’s “Frozen Beauty” that I added on Jan 3rd after reading Mayumi’s anticipated reads of 2020.
Countdown: An Upcoming Release You’re Excited About
Although I have new realeases on my virtual wanna read shelf, prompted by fellow book bloggers and their anticipate reads posts, I can’t say that I have one in particular that i’m over-hyped with and counting the days or anything like that.
Champagne: A Bubbly, Light Read
I’m kinda scared to be wrong and have nobody agreeing with me hah, and also my memory is kinda effy with things like that, But I felt like Emery Lord’s “When We Collided” was a bubbly and light read for me. This book just radiated so much of the teenager’s freedom, make me wanna stroll around town and having fun with a boyfriend, just.. enjoying life!
Sparklers: A Literary Couple With Bright, Hot Chemistry
Took me a few minutes to think of – but I gotta say I STILL can’t get over Mia & Will from Renée Carlino’s “Sweet thing“. We get this full angst romance of them two having a chemistery together at 100% — but one of them not wanting to fall in it because she don’t wanna lose it .. but the further you get, the further it is just impossible to shrug away. I definately need to give this one a re-read!
Noisemaker: An Attention-Catching Cover Design
Hangover: A Trope You Can’t Seem to Avoid
I can’t say I really have a hatred trope – I do, however, always find myself attracted to the same ones 🙊 Internet pals, bad guy with the “intelligent/perfect” girl .. if there’s a book with thoses, you bet i’m gonna wanna read it!
First: A Book You Love But None of Your Friends Have Read (Yet)
That.. include basically a WHOLE LOT ahaha 😂 The only one I could find that NONE of my Goodread friends has read though, was Linda Olsson’s “The black bird sings at dusk“.
(but that only includes the books that I had read after creating a Goodread though – and not including the Quebec-french only written books)
Resolutions: Your Bookish Goals for the New Year
As seen in my Resolution post linked above, actually 3/4 of mine are bookish this year xd
- This is the year where I ACTUALLY try my first audiobook!
- Following last year, I must try to develop my daytime reading still; opposed to only reading at night-time.
- My Goodread goal is 20 books this time; that I will additionally track which ones were English/French and Physical/Ebook.
