Helloo!
Vacations are coming by pretty fast, mine’s starting after my shift on Friday at 8pm! Being in the start of August, it’s also quite the vacation month in the northen hemisphere- school students go back in September here in canada, so it’s the last month of summer!
I would tend to pick more light reading material, or thrillers that have us travelling; either by boat, or train, etc.
🌸 Us against the likes, Marie Voinson; Ofcourse i’d pick my friend’s book, plenty of plane travelling happening!
🌸 The Woman in Cabin 10/The woman in Suite 11, Ruth Ware; Again, lots of travelling happening; first one we’re on a boat for the duration of the novel, while we’re in hotels for the second.
🌸 One perfect Couple, Ruth ware; One more of hers to the list, this one taking place on a deserted island.. hence the “summer” feeling
🌸 My Killer vacation, Tessa Bailey; Taking place on a vacation, with one true crime fanatic teacher.
🌸 Places we’ve never been, Kasie West; Roadtrip with her mother & childhood’s best friend’s family, taking place in an RV
🌸 Meet me in Cockleberry Bay, Nicola May; I had read this one when I went on vacation to my ex’s family in Newfoundland- This serie meant so much to me, if only because of the Dachshund Hot having a big place within the story.
What are the type of book you prefer on vacation?
Which ones did you/will you pick this year?

Tessa Bailey is good for this type of reading! I always seem to forget about her and I don’t know why. lol
Ahah to be fair it’s the only one ive read.. 🙈
Love how you picked “vacation/travelling” themed books Kris! I think my favorite book in a similar theme is Crazy Rich Asians–even though it’s basically a rom-com drama, it really felt like I was being transported to Singapore myself along with the FMC. Also North of Beautiful is a gorgeous story about a mother and daughter from an abusive family finding strength on a trip to China, idk if you have read that one but i highly recommend it.
Ohh thats interresting, thank you!
Currently reading this wretched valley from Jenny Kiefer; a thriller from a hiking trip 🤭 appear that’s what i’ll bring in my vacation this year!
