Charlotte Illes is not a detective ~ Katie Siegel ☆ Book Review

Good morning!

One more book off my Summer TBR- just one missing 👏🏼

First thing first, I appreciate that there’s a content warning before the novel starts! We should definately normalize it, it’s so helpful and cost nothing to be mindful of others.

I love the relationships in this book! Friendships between Charlotte, Gabe & Lucy that we can really see them going through though times and getting out stronger aswell as family bond with Charlotte and her brother Landon.

I love the storyline having a grown up detective! Idk why, but I was getting vibes of Herlock Sholmes & Iris Watson from the great ace attorney game mixed with Enola holmes.

The detective work was phenomenal! The logic was actually making sense and I was following with the intrigue.. but boy, I hadn’t anticipated the culprit- she made me accuse everyone BUT 🫣 I adore how the ending answer to all our questions of what happens next ❤️ it’s a good ending
