There was nothing I was really wanting this year.. However, I did treated myself for christmas & my birthday gifts’ early with a new macbook air ! As you may know, my old Macbook pro was from end of 2013 and Sheik had done a “coffee damage” in it.. it was still useable, but my keyboard was a pain in the butt – specially as a blogger where we tend to write alot and well … with some keys not working, some doing double letters, and my “R” that I needed to copy/paste all the time, it was a nightmare 😂

When I was younger, we would go on my dad’s side of the family at my grandma’s. It’s a huge family knowing my grandparents had 13kids, and most of them have more than one kid themselves.. we would all (or mostly, some of my aunt and uncles are splattered in other parts of the world) gather at their house, my god father would dress as santa and give the gifts to the youngsters … and of course a feast ! The kitchen had two big tables for the adults and the kids (me included, though last time I was 12.. and pissed about that xD) would eat at the “kids table” in the living room.

I really cannot stand christmas songs xD except one for some reason, the “big time rush” one, beautiful christmas. (a boy band, that used to have a tv show on nicklodeon) ; it’s also a tradition among acadians to have the christmas album “Marifishmas” (2002) from the New-brunswick french band “Les méchant maquereaux” on at this time of the year.

When younger, the ONE thing I always wanted was guitars and skateboards 🤣 I of course never got either, which mom always said no for skateboards as she didn’t wanted me to break my neck with it (yep. would totally be something i’d do !)

It’s not a christmas miracle, not even close, but we did had our own miracle happen ! I’ve talked all about it here; the day my mother received the gift of life, her kidney transplant, even though I couldn’t give her one of mine and she was on the international transplant list as she had way too many antibodies (!!)

*aherm* … I’m gonna dissapoint you here, but we actually have none. Since we’ve moved out of town in 2008, things got complicated and we no longer celebrate at my grandmother’s house.. we just stay the three of us (with the weeins), watch tv, drink alcohol, open the gifts at midnight and go to sleep 🤷🏽‍♀️

Ice-skating !! Though i’m not a fan of the cold winter we are having, I’ve always liked going ice skating (..trying not to break my neck falling..) ; However it has been YEARS since I’ve went last.

And that was it !! I had wanted to do the tag, but then wasn’t too sure as I don’t really have anything to share with holiday traditions ? It never occured to me growing up, but upon stumbling on someone having LOTS of holiday fun happening and traditions .. I kinda feel a bit sad and now see how poorly my family is with traditions x)
