Finished book tag

Good morning!

I’ve seen this tag over at Rebecca’s blog, and as I kinda like snooping and see what other blogger’s are doing on the reviewing side.. I decided to do it too! 😇

1. Do you keep a list of the books you have read?

Apart of the obvious goodread answer; I do write in my Bujo which book I’ve finished on the day that I did so in my weekly spreads, aswell as the first 20 on a separate page with my yearly goals (As it’s what I set my GR challenge to be, could be more in the next years)

 

2. If you record statistics, what statistics do you record?

On that same “yearly goals” page in my bujo, I record which language I’ve read the book in (Fr or Eng) aswell as which format (Physical, Ebook or Audio). I’ve just started that this year, as I kinda wanna see where i’m at and would preferably wanna try to keep it balanced as much as I can, ahah!

 

3. Do you give star ratings for books and if so, what do you score books out of and how do you come about this score?

I do still give star ratings, out of five. How I usually go about them is this: 3-stars read are generally the basic “okay” read, that wasn’t particularly good nor bad, but I still enjoyed myself. 4-stars read are thoses that I really liked, but didn’t *quite* obsessed about them or I wouldn’t re-read if given the chance. It might also be because it lost me somewhere in the middle, or I would’ve had expected more of it. The 5-stars are the ones that I generally get hang over on, and OBSESSED about to where I would love to re-read them a bunch of times.

 

4. Do you review books?

I do, although it depends upon if I have something to say about it or not. I might decide to rave about it on a blog post, or I might choose to keep it on Goodreads instead (majorly for French books that don’t have an english equal)

 

5. Where do you put your finished books?

I just place it back on my shelves, but at a different area than my “un-read” ones. Which is basically the only “organisation” that I have, I don’t know why I put a book specifically in one area or another.. it just needs to be separated from my to-read pile 😅

 

6. Do you have any other rituals for when you have finished a book?

I update my Goodread status to “read” immediately after, choosing what star-rating I should give it and if not already, decide upon if I wanna review it on my blog or keep it on GR. After that I pick my pink marker and go write in my Bujo that I finished said book on the current date, then I might start to formulate my review or finish it.
