Good morning!
Now while i’m on the fence about posting french reviews on my blog, it’s also rare that I find good french books that I actually really liked – so I made an exception and made them into a mini reviews. I’m hoping that maybe those that can also read in french can suggest me some more, ofcourse!
Vous êtes cordialement invités 2; le couvent des pascalines, Alex sol

This one is a bit odd; it’s the following of two different book. You have “Vous êtes cordialement invités”, that follows the same two MCs Hisham & Cloé, aswell as “Le couvent des pascalines” where we discover the backstory. While it’s good to have read the first one, the second isn’t mandatory as we learn the story of the ghost nuns along with the characters.
While I did read the first book, what I enjoyed the most was the haunted religion building part.. the nuns backstory of selling teenagers babies and being cursed by one of them, having them stuck on earth was the best part! The ghost nuns were so well described, and you had the tense feeling of needing to get out alive and find their way around them.
There is a third novel, where Cloé & Hisham go back to the Baumont Manor to finish their quest- and while that story wasn’t what I had enjoyed most in this one.. I don’t think i’m gonna read it.
Désaliéné; certaines folies ne meurent pas, Nils Illigan

While i’m terrified of long novels.. I’m also on the fence of those under 100 pages aswell xD I didn’t knew if it was gonna be good as it was so short- but usually a haunted psychiatrict hospital is always one of my favorite. It also ended up good; we had a few different POVs, but we could really feel up the tense atmosphere and again, reading it before bed like the last one prooved to be hard as I would stop reading and still be energized from the rush of adrenaline.
Can you recommend me some good Horror French novels?
