Hyrule Warriors; Age of Calamity ☆ Game Review

Hello beautifuls!

As you might know, I had been SUPER HYPED for this game to launch.. and it’s basically all that i’ve been playing lately 😅 Although I might slip some little spoilers, this can be good to know in case you’ve been waiting to see if it was worth a play– which let me tell you that it is!

* Be warned that this review might contain spoiler *

I have the other two hyrule warriors, both on the 3ds & the wii u (I really wanted linkle..she was worth it!). I was really curious to see what they will do with it, as it had been told to be a “prequel” to Breath of the Wild.

Ever since i tried the demo, I was hooked !! I love how they took the actual world map of BOTW to place the fightings stages, aswell as some little “side quests” that help you ameliorate the characters/etc.

For thoses of you who think it’s not worth playing because «we know how it ends».. actually it doesn’t end that way! Age of Calamity starts by a baby guardian going back in time, 100 years prior, which gets our heroes some extra knowledge about Calamity Ganon once our Sheikah’s researchers understand more about him. So technically the story is before BOTW, but happens after as we go back in time.

Wierdly, when I first started playing, it gave me even more of the craving to play BOTW.. although I knew some buildings/etc were demolished in it, I just wanted to treck and actually EXPLORE our surroundings and talk to people.

I was also surprised by the un-lockable characters!! While some made sense like our heroes, the four champions & their descends.. some were completely out of blues and random 😂 Not complaining, I personally liked the Sheikah Guide. Apart from Link, I loved to main characters that just plowed through enemies; such as said sheikah guide & Riju.

One of my favorite thing in BOTW was searching for treasures in the castle, escaping it has also been a favorite — but OMG the feels !!!! 😭😭 I love that they gave us even MORE link & Zelda lore.

Have you played this fantastic game yet?

    1. Ahaha ohh you should 😈😈
I fear i’m almost done the storyline.. though theres a few more things I can do to complete it.

        1. Both! But i’d say.. i’d pick botw first. AoC is technically a prequel, but not really as we go back in time.. so that can spoil you a tad of botw. Plus, you can’t roam around the map, as it’s a « dynasty warrior » type game where the fight happened in an area only for a limited time/goals
