I killed Zoe Spanos ~ Kit Frick ☆ Review

Good morning!

It is absolutely by coincidence that I ended up reading Au-pair thrillers back to back.. I didn’t even knew it was, or remembered, it was just a book I wanted to start and ended up picking “Turn of the key” instead and just decided to finally pick it up, ahah 😅

Though i’m so happy with my hardcover copy of this book, not only is the jacket a shimmery blue but it’s also my first painted edges (!!) so beautiful, This one must be so nice to listen to via audio as it’s another one with podcast content through it.

Goodread’s page
 5 / 5 stars

First I gotta talk about how nice it is to have a map- not being a fantasy reader, thoses are so rare to cross.. so i’m loving it in this book!

In the story, we go back-and-forth through past and present; which is usually something that is a hit or miss for me, but it worked wonderfully this time! First we are presented with a “knot” in the current time, and we get transported into the past to discover the how did this happen immediately after.

As we get further in the book, the previous details of the present-time Anna make sense; as we now got the insight of all the previous past history, though there’s still a few things that we don’t know where it comes from.

I got reeled in right away, constantly wanting to know further, as we got hit by multiple things that didn’t made sense over and over. What really happened, were thoses real memories?? Did Anna really killed Zoe??

My oh my, I was not ready for the reveal; That one hadn’t crossed my mind at all, I was shocked and finished reading with a hand over my mouth 😅  Absolutely loved it!
(Spoiler) I LOVE how they took time to develop onto what Anna’s memory really were, what she mixed them up with without knowing.. how she did knew Zoe and did went there before- but because her mother & Zoe’s father had an affair. Making them all sisters, unknowingly visiting them as “summer friends” when she was younger. All my questions got answered, and in bonus Caden finally talked with Martina; A good ending, if you ask me. (End spoiler)
