Good morning!
With what I had seen online, I was terrified to hate this, as my copy was gorgeous!! I didn’t wanted to have to chuck it. Quickly, I realised it was right up my alley; love me a girlie with an attitude and Nate is absolutely a simp for her and I’m so down for it!

The dirty language & joking around is absolutely something that i’m used to, and often times found them hilarious. I personally think the spicy level is quite similar to “deep end”, which I also loved. Although I agree a couple chapters could’ve been cut off, as it did felt redundant at times, but at the same time I couldn’t get tired of these two ❤️ He was so sweet & commited to her, taking care of her.
While it did took some time to get to the fall- I love the building of their bond. Having Stassie sass her way to Nate, play horny cat & mouse, aswell as her therapy sessions didn’t felt extra at all. I’ve always wanted to be a figure skater, so the switch to her sport was interresting to read!
The book really highlight the positives of therapy, aswell as healing from an eating disorder, and I loved that aspect.
While all the hockey guys are great, Nate & Henry are my favorite. I love how the kid is so blunt and have no filter;we’re also getting a found family trope.
The novel didn’t ended up in any way I wouldve had guessed it would, but it ended the way it should. A happy ending where everyone gets what they deserves (specially aaron!).
“Nothing about therapy gets easier. You just learn to accept those hard conversations are worth it when your feelings become more manageable.”
“Rejection is scary, but so is living with never knowing what could have happened if you were honest. I think you need to communicate your feelings with him. Any relationship, friendship, or more, will not survive through all this dishonesty.”

I am so glad you liked it! It wasn’t a bad read for me just one that didn’t “wowed” me as I expected.
That’s fair, I had come in with the opposite expectation ahah
