Heey !
We are back again for @Booksandbabbles’ Internationnal bookworm meme after skipping the week two as the theme was “favorite local publisher” and I’m not really .. acknowledgable of that soo.. 😅
What is it exactly ?
- We have a discord group of internationnal bloggers; all of us being, you would guess it, in other places in the world other than US. (let me know if you wanna join, i’ll point you to the person to contact)
- Ayla, from Books and Babbles, decided upon creating a meme for us to participate in and see our point of view for each prompt that you can check on her blog following the link I included.
- Point to this is to support fellow internationnal bloggers, like us, and she will link each of our post in her original post under the right prompt so it’s all in one place and easy to track !
This week, we are talking about a book where our country takes place; As you should know, I proudly say when applicable that I am canadian. However, let’s go deeper and specifically talk about the atlantic provinces of Canada (We are 4: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island & Newfoundland and labrador).
When I think about my “area” of Canada, I instinctly think about ..

Anne of Green Gables ! As there’s many other versions of this book, I just took the first one written by L.M.Mongomery.
Unfortunately, I haven’t read that book yet (yes, ik ! Shame on me) .. But it’s a pretty popular story around here; in fact, we have tv shows and if you go to Cavendish in Prince Edward Island, they have an historic/touristic area; « Green Gables Heritage Place », Which is the farm where L.M. Mongomery got her inspiration for the novel !
What do you think about when you think of Canada, and/or the atlantic canada region ?
Have you read Anne of green gables, if so did you liked it?
Nice post!! I haven’t read Anne of green gables either… But I’ve watched the Netflix tv show, does that count?? 😅 Also, I’d like to join the discord group! Who should I talk to?
Yes! Im watching that one too, quite liking it. let me get you to the person & link on twitter’s DMs !
Nice post Kristina! I haven’t read Anne of Green Gables either 😀 But this is definitely on my TBR.
I should give it a shot .. however historical isnt my cup of tea so eeh not sure how it’ll end up being 😂
Haha I can totally understand. Each genre is not for everyone 😊
I haven’t read this book either but I do want to read it eventually because my mother loves the books and we used to watch it on the telly together. I really enjoyed watching it with her so I want to get into the books one day!

I haven’t read Anne of the Green Gables either (to be honest I’ve only ever heard of it quite vaguely!) but I would just LOVE to travel to Canada one day! Loving your take on the International Bookworms meme, by the way! and I’m so sorry again for my awful time management on this meme 🙁 <3

I’ve been doing my best, as it’s my first meme I attempt … so glad you like them ! 💜
