Lock and Key ~ Sarah Dessen ☆ Review

Good Morning!

I finally finished my first book of the month – of course, instead of picking within my physical collection, or my two arcs, I decided to loan a book from Libby 😅 I think this book is my first Sarah Dessen book i’ve read so far.

4 / 5 stars

At first, we get to meet Ruby’s situation and how hard the switch has been for her – how she end up changing entirely and learn things from her past that place everything onto new perspective. Her character evolution is clearly seen, for the better; She gets from wanting to do everything on her own without help, to progressly learn that it’s okay to ask for help, and trying to help others herself.

This was quite a fun read, although not the happiest at times. I falled in love with Nate, and progressly with her sister Cora aswell- their sibling’s relationship evolving to something I wish i’d have. I also found a lot of nice quotes that really hit me, and that I needed to me reminded.

« The point is there’s no way to be a hundred percent sure about anyone or anything. So you’re left with a choice. Either hope for the best, or just expect the worst »

« Not everything is perfect, especially at the beginning. And it’s all right to have a little bit of regret every once in a while. »
