Micro Brew ; Spring Cleaning (prompt #1)

Heeya !

We are quite a bit late this time, but here’s the first prompt of March’s theme “Micro Brew Spring Cleaning” (March 4) –  [from Anthony over at KeepReadingForward] What book would you die on a hill for? What makes it so special to you? Is there something about it others don’t like?

What’s Micro Brew?;
This was created by my friend Melanie / The Library of Mars. We would do this on Tumblr, back when that was my only reviewing platform. I’ve been wanting to do something more on my blog because my reviews are as unpredictable as my reading habits. I thought this would be a fun way to promote something that you love. It’s also been re-branded from “Micro Review” to “Micro Brew” because of some confusion and to fit with my blogs overall theme.I will be posting the prompts on the first day of the month and answering them on the first and third Mondays of the month (anytime in between will be good times to post as well). [from Allie’s blog]

This prompt was a bit harder for me .. When I first looked at this prompt, I immediately thought of Josie Jaffrey’s Sovereign serie. Thoses three books started a flame inside me for fantasy and I just falled head over heels over the concept of silvering and I just LOVE the characters sososo much !! Even though I finished the third and last book in the serie last month, it’s still a constant in my mind. I don’t know what it is about them, but god I am obsessed with them; definately gonna reread !

Then, Radio Silence by Alice Oseman came into mind aswell .. You have an asexual rep, you have the podcast that just feels so eerie in my mind, you have the two main characters who do NOT end up together.. It was just SO GOOD I don’t know why it took me so long to pick it up, honestly.

Which one would YOU pick?

  1. I just picked up the Gilded King, I can’t wait to read it and Silence Radio sounds really good, gonna have to add it to my list. But, I guess I would have to pick The Golden Eye for my book to die on a hill for…or…oh no there’s too many so we’ll stick with that one lol

  2. ah, I, unfortunately, did not like Josie’s books that much but I did love the concept of silvering!
    I’ve also heard so much about Radio Silence and I am glad to hear that you enjoyed it. I hope I am able to get to it sometime soon!
