My 5 gaming pet peeves
Good morning everyone!
As Iāve already shared my bookish pet peeves in romance books, aswell as bloghopping pet peeves, itās now time to share those I have about gaming too ! šĀ Most are about gameplay, but thereās an exception; ofcourse this is not in order of which one piss me off the most, just in what order feels more fluent.

Platformers
Though I played lots of 2D zelda games growing up.. in general I canāt time my jumps to save my life šĀ enough to make me ragequit- but the WORST ones are those that kills you instantly.. rather than just having to restart the climbing from square one.

Games auto-saving.. at the end of the day
Iām the nervous player that saves their games a million times before actually leaving- autosaving games *sometimes* relief the pressure of ādid I saved?ā.. and sometimes makes it worst xd Games like āMy time at Portiaā & āStardew Valleyā that donāt allow me to save whenever I want, AND have the audacity to only save when you go to bed in-games.. bum me out a lot.

Games mysteriously booting you out
Now iknow this is not fun in any context, but mix this with games saving at the end of the dayā¦ yeah, now you just lost a whole bunch that you have to redo again š¤¦š½āāļøĀ This piss me off so much that I donāt wanna pick it again for a few hours- because heck.

Everything needing to be multiplayer..
Iāve always been a solo player, not having any friends to play with me.. Now this doesnāt bother me when the game remains playeable on single mode (like stardew valley & even Zelda four sword adventures), but when we reach the point where you have a much harder time playing alone- or needs you to play online with random strangers- which most definately will be dicks and not play just because they can (*aherm,Ā Triforce heroes..)- this is where I have a problem.

The common idea that you have to play a specific type of games, usually violent ones, In order to be viewed as a āreal gamerā ?? Or that you canāt be one if you donāt play a particular console and yada yada.. that is absolute BS.
As long as you play, no matter what or what console, you do are part of the community; nobody likes gate keepers!

Whatās your gaming pet peeves?
The autosaving at the end of the day is annoying! Sometimes I don’t want to play a full day, or I need to stop mid-day, and have no choice but to just go to bed early and lose out on precious time! It’s the same for games where you have to find a save point/station in order to save. Sometimes they’re generous and close together. But other times there’s only a few, so you either have to keep playing to find a new one, or backtrack and hope you don’t die along the way, or just die to speed things up. Just let us save whenever we want/need to!
Omg yes š¤¦š½āāļø On the switch I like that you can turn it off without saving to pick it back there later.. whenever I pick back up a game on the 3ds I forget it doesnāt work like that šš
I agree with you on all of these! I don’t mind the autosaving thing, but I want to be able to manually save as well, especially when I’ve just made big progress on something!
And the ‘not a real gamer’ thing annoys me so much! I don’t like to play games that stress me out, so I prefer cosy, casual games, but they are still games, and I still spend a lot of time on them, so how is that different than playing any other type of game?

I might be obessing on sims & my time at portia, but im gaming atleast 5-10hrs a day still.. like- get out.
Yes!! Atleast give us both š° so tiring to accomplish something just for it to boot you out for a random problem or something..
