Heey !!
So, once upon a time, I was really into thoses “What’s in my iPhone” videos kind of stuff.. and I actually got this idea when I was looking at my phone’s apps after loading another book blogging related app. So I thought hey ! Why not make a post about this ? 😄
here’s the most “interesting” page we wanna focus on, as the other one has games, and weather app, etc.. I do have a translator and a dictionnary, however.
Of course I have tumblr (my booklr), and twitter which I follow some bookbloggers out there also as my discord that contain my discord’s book chats. I’m not yet a part of bookstagram and i’m not sure I want to as of now 😂
Then the last row is what we are in for ! Of course I have my kindle app so I can read NetGalley and review requests, aswell as Goodread to track said progress. I have wordpress, as I like to comment and blog hop on the go, and Bloglovin’ which by the way, I just made an account on !
Alright; I may not have that much apps on my phone for bookish/blogish stuff.. but what about you guys ? Do you have more than me, and/or somes that I don’t have and you would recommend ?
Ha Kristina I have less apps than you. I only have Goodreads and Kindle as bookish app. Discord is only on my computer (that’s why I am so bad at following it). I have Instagram as I’m actively posting bookstagrams. I don’t have WordPress nor Bloglovin on my phone, only on my computer again. See I’m even more depserate than you 😉
Ah !
It’s just after I got my oh so smart idea, upon writting it I went “mmh… welp I have less than I realized. oops. Shall I post it anyway or no ? seems short .. ” 😂
Discord, Goodreads, Hebban (a Dutch community thing similar to Goodreads), Voice Dream, iBooks, Twitter, Facebook, WordPress and Bloglovin’ ^^
OH what’s Voice dream ? and actually I do have ibooks too… only I don’t use it so I completely forgot that one xD
I wish there were more bookish apps! I pretty much have the as you, but I also have Audible, Audiobooks.com and Storytel (both for audiobooks, that last one is actually Dutch!) I think at some point I had Scribd as well (for audiobook and eBooks) but I couldn’t find it so I probably deleted it, hahaha! 😉
Yeah, i should probably get on that with audiobooks. Still havent tried 🙈 not sure which would be best, however..
Goodreads, twitter, Instagram and wordpress for me. 😀
Quite similar to what I have 😄
I have litsy, librarything, and goodreads for bookish apps. 🙂
Wow! Two out of three I dont really know about! I think both is kind of like a bookish fb/goodreads is it?
Yup yup. You might like Litsy, it’s a great community. I don’t post much there because they don’t have a desktop version for posting reviews :\ but I post quotes and such there!
oh .. yeeah bummer. I could probably go take a curious peak some day
I sadly do not have many bookish apps as I don’t blog on my phone much, but… I may need to revisit that. 🙂
Well.. no need to be blogging related.. Goodreads helps you with tracking where you are in your book – which I find handy cause I don’t always have my mac to use the web version. and I usually wanna put a quote or something I can use for my review while doing that ; and id probably forget if I dont xD and the kindle app is neat to read on the go; sure I dont buy anything on it (yet) but for if I get something off NetGalley or an author send it to me .. I like ebook more than I ever thought I would !
I just have goodreads, twitter and wordpress. I was thinking about Blogovin but I’m not sure I completely understand it haha
oh my god same xd I would suggest you to read Evelina’s post ; it’s quite nice actually. once you follow some peeps, it looks sorta like the WP reader, but with more posts seen at once and you can save them (or kind of like ,, “pin” them in collection like pinterest) you can also comment directly on BlogLovin’ or go to the website. I like it more than I thought I would!
Also super easy to search new posts/people you ain’t following and there’s a bunch of things !! like DIY, recepies, blogging … a long list.
oh that’s so cool you’re actually making me reconsider getting it haha
Lol, I have way too many apps than you 😛 And now I’m thinking do I need all those? Yeah, maybe 😛 I also have Google+ because I update my status there too about my posts. Then I have Facebook Page manager to better manage my facebook page. I also have Feedly which is way better than Bloglovin’ (I also have Bloglovin’) for blog hopping. I have many others for IG image editing 😛
OOh. ahahah well, if you use all of them – that’s not too bad !
I’m maniac of using ALL or I delete them xD Also I only use my G+ to comment on youtube videos .. which I don’t even watch anymore, woops !
I have Discord and Goodreads on my iPad and Kindle and WordPress on both my iPad and iPhone! I love this idea for a post because most book bloggers use them and mention their user names but never actually say what they have where – if that makes sense? 😂😊😀
Yeah 😂
Just thought it was a bummer I didnt had any more or « less used » one other bloggers could had missed 😐 but oh well!
What do you mean when you say that?
Well, If I could have had more apps ; like, ones that not everyone were using, I could had made my readers discover something new..
Oh I get what you mean now, sorry about that! I know everyone uses all the apps now – so there isn’t many that people don’t know about! I loved your post so don’t be disheartened or beat yourself up about that it’s not your fault and your post was great! X
true, Thank you xx
lovely post, i’ve saved it to my “ideas board” and hopefully i can write a blog reply to you! and encourage others to do so too.
i think mine are pretty similar, i have a few others to read my books on and an extra one or two to edit photos with 🙂
ohh i’m eager to see your take on it !
Wow, I have even fewer than you do! I didn’t even know about Bloglovin’! Do you like it?
yeh ! I like how it’s more like pinterest in term of you can find anything – not only posts about books. and you can make “collection” which can be handy if you wanna give shoutouts.
That sounds awesome!
