Heey!

Moving on back to romance, we’re getting with one of the last two books on my Bookish Chaos Reading Challenge.

We start off strong, right off the bat in Chapter 1 we’re having a full on making out session in a poor lit second floor of the library she works at 👀 With an almost-stranger, as she “knows” him as being one of the strongest on the basketball team while he has no idea what her name is. The sexual tention just builds up from there, as they do meet eachother again (!!), first under the guise of him needing english poetry help and seek her for tutoring.

There’s also my most favorite in romance novels; the MC being like “ofc it can’t be, this is REAL LIFE it can’t be happening”, completely clueless that they are, in fact, in a romcom. Plenty of good quote about guys irl just, not being like in novels that I just ADORE. It just makes her so much more reliable, you know?

I also appreciate how Kendall & her friend group are readers; she works night shift at the library, but she’s also caught reading romances a few times by Vincent- and obviously on a sex scene! Their girl groups are so tightly knit; albeith different, they do support each other, and especially in their love interrest! Love that.

It reads super quickly and packed with action; you just wanna keep up reading to know more.

It gives me some Ice Breaker vibes; especially the hockey team parties, but with less sex scenes. The lovers are also both more immature, with no other experiences and both unsure of this flirting game thing.
