October’s book haul (2021)

Good morning!

I have a haul for you today; since the pandemic has worsened up over here again, i’m mainly only at work or staying home 😅 So needless to say, I don’t buy books too often -as I somehow don’t buy them much online, nor do I buy ebooks-; However, as you will see in this haul, when I splurge.. I do so greatly!

Buying books make me happy; this time I even went beyond without judging myself.. because I did worked pretty hard lately doing 6days a week, and I read a bunch off my unread shelf, so one can spoil themselves once in a while, eh!

Buying books is so tedious for me, having 854 books on my wanna buy shelf ahaha! I spot all the ones that Iknow the blogosphere has been raving about and iknow I can’t buy them all today and I need to restrict myself and make a decision somehow 😬 Even if mother don’t mind much, I keep pointing books to her and be like «Ohh this one is good apparently. Ah this is a popular hyped one! » and she’s distractly being like ah yeah?

I’d honestly want to buy more french books again.. but I feel like i’m standing back from them and more attracted to english ones now 🤔 I’d go for translations of popular english ones, but i’m rather reluctant with the made in Quebec novels now.. especially with how much my expectations haven’t been granted with my recents ones; they were okay but not that good.

Anyway! So I bought a bright yellow Leuchttrum for myself as my current one passed the halfway point, and also one spiralled notebook for mother as she finished the dachshund journal that I got her for Christmas. Despice wanting more “Halloween” books, I managed to split my pile into half being thriller, while the other half is love stories.. I jusst couldn’t resist them! 😅

Mystery/Thrillers pile

  • I killed Zoe Spanos (WITH BLUE PAGES!!! my first one like this 🥰)
  • Si tu me lis // If you’re out there (The only one that wasn’t on my Virtual wanna read shelf; which i’m surprised as I know I definately heard about it..)
  • The turn of the key (finally- my LAST ruth ware that I was missing)

Love stories pile

Have you read any of them?
Which books have you bought lately?
