Good morning!
This year, i’ve really exploded my record of audiobooks read; on my 10 books i’ve read so far in two months, 3 of them were audiobooks! Which is great, as I do aspire to use all different formats, and I do love to multitask and play videogames while reading ahah!
Surprisingly, it took me a while to get into the bath with this format.. I’ve been really picky with the narrator voices, and just recently trying speed up x1,5 – the way they narrated Anxious people was way too slow for me. My favorites had always been full casted, or atleast when the narrator change their speaking voices to the different characters.
Naturally, it bleeds from one of my favorite memory as a child. I always say my godmother is the reason why i’m an avid reader today ; her old house is magically filled with books in every corner of every room. When i’d go visit her as a kid, my favorite was to ask her to read me the tintins comics; we’d snuggle on the couch and she’d read to me .. turning her voice into the different characters’. Many times she had to tell me no, as i’d obsessively ask her over and over and keep going- much to the detriment of her throat, that ended up hurting really bad after a while 😅
What’s your favorite bookish memories?
