Us against the likes ~ Marie Voinson ☆ Book review

Probably as I read it not too long ago, but the start made me think alot of “starfish”; an anxious girl being denied her dream in art (or travel influencers in this case) by her mother. I felt really bad for Abby, especially how their mother reacted differently to her sister lizzy’s photography career.
Their sibling relationship was really well written, I loved how they were so fond of each other. I’m an only child, so I don’t understand that bond very well, but I did craved something like that!
The art of blogging was really well portrayed aswell! All the dedication & work from Abby’s part, up until changing her whole personality to fit better and ease her impostor syndrome. Which went together with her anxiety. The same words her mother or ex claimed about her blog not being enough. Of her being ashamed of her panic attacks.. I really felt that too.
Being a lover of different medias in books, I did enjoyed the few pages where her insta comments were written aswell as her insta stories; it really completed the story really well. I love the end message of this book; losing yourself for other’s to like you is pointless, as you’re losing in the end. People already love you just as you are, for you.
