I finally finished this book, this has taken me a while 😅 With my sinus being jerks and over-working yet again, I didn’t felt much like reading this past month..

At first, the way we saw the end before the « how » it happened really threw me off.. I’m not so good with the travelling back-and-forth in time, and reading all the good reviews, I was kinda scared of not being able to enjoy it too.

I really appreciated having both Kat & James’ side; really knowing what they were thinking and what each of them were going through. With the laid back, I noticed where each of them went wrong: what they should’ve had expressed instead, or how they should’ve had spoke their mind instead of letting it go.. but I can also understand James’ state of not wanna admit it to her bestfriend, as saying it aloud really does appear to make it more real.

Both of their lifes were changing; Kat’s seemed to be going upward with her wonderful girlfriend and her dad’s girlfriend not being so horrible, while James’ seemed to go downhill with her parent’s separation and her breakup .. and sometimes you just don’t wanna be « that person » that throws the other down the gutter when it’s going so well.

As other bloggers had stated, it really gotta be like that sometimes.. the slow change of going parthway with a friend we deeply loved is being perfectly portrayed in this book. While I could see it happening and slowly changing, I couldn’t help but feel the sadness.

The bisexuality aspect of the book was well-done too! It’s amazing how the two girls really changed the school’s history, and that Kat now being with a girl after her breakup with a boy wasn’t taken as too big of a deal — by Kat herself, her dad, and everyone else. Although at first it was sortof being put on the account of « breakup side effects ».

The relationship between Kat & Quinn is exactly what i’d wanna aim for.. although Kat had been wanting her to not see her like that depressive girl who lost her mother, therefore hiding a few things from her … the revelations on their prom night made me tear up so bad!
