5 Gift ideas for your bookish friend / Secret Santa
Good morning!
The holiday season is upon us- i’m sure you’ve seen quite the load of gift ideas posts strating to sprawn on the blogosphere. For someone that has a double-gift christmas & my birthday, I never know what to ask for.. so I gotta say I LOVE reading posts like these!
General rules, I always go for my local bookstore giftcard so I can buy whichever books I want with it and I’m guaranteed to be pleased 😌 Unless you know what type of books your person prefer or if they gave you a specific list, I think this is a fool-proof solution.
♣ Papeterie / Stationary
I haven’t seen anyone in the community not liking pretty paper things- and there’s so many options !! None of us know what to put in notebooks though, so maybe don’t pick that one 😆
- If they like to annotate their books, a cute post-it or even a nice cute pen
- If they’re into bullet journaling, washi tape & nice stickers can be added to the above list.
♣ Bookmarks!!
As you may have figured it out, i’m personally a Bookmark Collector – I have so many!! Right now I rotate between my 5 favorites. What I love the most is dipping into bookmarks of others of my favorite things; Animal crossing, dachshunds, cats.. there’s literally so many cute ones out there to choose from!
Though I don’t personally have a use for book sleeve, Their design are all so cute!! They also have added reading pillows & other different merchs aswell. One day, I’m gonna purchase one of those for myself.
♣ A “pillow with arms” or heated blanket!
To be completely honest, I have no idea how this pillow is supposedly called; but you know, they’re supposed to be used when reading in bed and support your back while having arm rests? Pair that with a heated blanket for absolute peak cosiness in winter nights and we’re all set for a nice reading session 😌 Only missing a nice cuppa of your hot drink of choice -plus, I realized it’d be useful for my restless legs also: Bonus!-
♣ Calligraphy poster of their favorite quote
I’m an absolute lover of Calligraphy, it’s so pretty and mesmerising to watch!! Unfortunately, i’m not one to be able to perform such art 🥲 If you can get your hands on their favorite book quotes, having it Calligraphied by an artist to put on their wall would be an awesome gift.

Ah these are all lovely ideas! 😍 i especially love that last one, I’m a sucker for a quotes art and having one on my walls, beautifully written, would be the best. I want to get that for myself, ahah!
Yess!! My only problem would be to pick out the quote though 😅 when i need it, everything be forgotten ahah
