5 things I need to learn before my 30s
Helloo!
I still get lightheaded when I think that i’m already at that stage where only 2years separate me from my 30s 😅 I definately feel like my brain stopped aging at 23 MAX, so i’m having quite the trouble with realising i’m here already 😬
There’s a few things that I need to get onpar with that would make my life so much easier, intending to leave those in my 20s to start afresh!
1. More confidence!!
I definately gained more self-esteem since my teenage & depression years, but I still have a bit to go. Especially when we’re talking career- so many time i’m looking at jobs more higher up and I just think I can’t do it.. i’m not “grown up” enough.
2. Take care of yourself unapologetically
Looking for my health first and foremost; putting my foot down and straight up leaving or take means to make sure my health stay in good shape. I know my body is more prone to hear fatigue specifically, nobody else but myself will care about that. Same with my mental being.
3. You don’t need nobody’s approval!
Although I’m earning my own funds, and is pretty good to manage it so I don’t overspend or anything, I still feel the need to ask mother for approval 😅 Samewise when I took a day off for my wellbeing, I needed to make sure I was doing the right thing.
4. Stop. Over explaining. yourself. !!
I’m an oversharer.. we know that- and while I do know it can be unsafe online (depending what it is..) the most important area to stop is at the workplace. They don’t need to know the details of why you want off- and no, you don’t need to give them! No is a full sentence too, no need to give escuses, none of their business.
5. Let go of your unwritten rules
Little things that I believed growing up that isn’t true at all.. going hands in hand with no. 2 & 3, one of my unwritten rules is that daytime naps need to be done in the living room. Why? No idea. That’s just something my dad does 😝
Are you guilty of some of those?
I’m guilty of most of these. 🙈 I have gained more confidence than before and tend to be very reserved, but I definitely need to stop over-explaining myself and take care of myself unapologetically. And I ask my mother for approval too haha.
Ahah happy to know im not alone in this! 😂
