90’s Music edition Book Tag

Heey! we’re here for a book tag again 😁

Being a mid-90’s baby, I just had to do this one!! Though I saw the “back to the 90s” edition too, this one had nicer questions in my opinion (though we might go back to it, never know!). I saw this tag from Diana @fortunatelythebook, and the original creator is And On she reads.

What’s My Age Again- Blink 182:
At what age did you discover your love of reading?

I can proudly say that i’ve been a reader for almost 27years 🥰 Big thanks to my godmother being a reader herself, so she made it seems cool ahah but even before that, my parents always read to me until I got old enough to read for myself. I participated into “reading summer camps” all throughout childhood with my local library and also kept visiting a kind of “book fair” thing in my area, up until I moved as we weren’t in the same town anymore.. and then covid happened so I haven’t been this year or the last, sadly 😅

All Star- Smash Mouth:
What is your favorite genre?

I tend to gravitate towards Romance & Thrillers, mostly in YA & NA but I can read some adult aswell; I don’ really pay attention to what brackets they fall into as long as the synopsis sounds good!

Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Deep Blue Something:
What’s your go-to reading snack/drink?

I love snacking on candies while I read! but specially if I have some maynards wine gums candy, thoses are mine & mother’s favorite; but any easy to eat candies will do. I generally stick to water though.

Give It Away – Red Hot Chili Peppers:
What book do you ALWAYS recommend to people?

Matt haig’s non-fictions!! Especially Reasons to stay alive, which i’d say was my most favorite. I’d say that I recommended it to so many friends that have the same anxiety/depression disorder as me 😅

…Baby One More Time – Britney Spears:
A book or series you have read more than once?

So many.. growing up, which I reread again few years ago, Love virtually” was my absolute favorite- it introduced me to my love of un-usual ways of story telling, such as solely emails. One of my friend also read it, aswell as the follow-up book because of me.. I still need to read the other book.

Then, because of blogging, Olga gibbs’ Celestial Creatures serie aswell as Josie Jaffrey’s Sovereign serie. that I both ADORED, and my only fatasy books ive read to date.

Tearin’ Up My Heart – N’Sync:
A book that broke your heart to finish?

Every book that I read somehow end up making me cry 🤣 The last ending that broke me must’ve been The turn of the key — though it wasn’t a favorite, knowing what really happened was so sad.. making everything else made sense too.

Smells Like Teen Spirit – Nirvana:
A book that you read as a teen that you still love today?

Again, “Love virtually”! but also, let me throw the Tintin’s adventures comics in there too – though it was childhood love, as my godmother used to read them to me making all different voices, and I had to buy my favorites ☺️

Hurt- Nine Inch Nails:
What book do you love that deals with heavier subjects?

I love thoses kind of books personally, which I tend to get in the mood for them while being depressed myself 😅 Few of them includes; All the bright places, At first sight, or even my heart and other black holes. All of them dealing with mental health struggles.

Thank you for reading, and ofcourse consider yourself tagged if you feel like going back to the 90s with me — Or leave your answers in the comments ✨

  1. Well done! I love your song choices :-))

I snack on Pea Snaps when reading. Unless it’s audio while driving, of course. Then it’s a drink.

I used to be a big YA and romance reader but now I’m jumping all over the place and constantly switching genres and even reading non fiction.

    1. Yes, me too- though not so broadly as I still have trouble with historical & fantasy so im less to pick thoses up, but there’s few subgenres in non-fiction that I enjoy aswell!
      Thank you! Happy reading xx
