August ‘25 Wrap up 🌻

Hello!

I’m really happy we’re getting into fall!! It’s personally the best weather 🥰 not too cold but a bit windy, the leaves falling and the pretty colors!

August’s feels;

I finally went on my vacation! We spent 3days in another province, in Quebec (~ 9hrs drive away) with my mother. We went to the Miller Zoo; we had watched their tv show when it was aired on TV so it was like a wish of ours, to the aquarium where I touched a stingray and went to see the Vieu Quebec with it’s giftshops. I had 10days total of vacation so the rest was just spent at home resting.

The same week we went away, it reached 45’C at home! (compared to our 35’C we got in Qc) With the drought and the extreme heat, our province had been having wood fires since then. 😅 So far I think the highest amount of fires has been 26(?) with the two biggest one burning a few hundread yards. Many regions had been in alert ready or asked to evacuate. Thanksfully, no building had been lost so far and it came nowhere near our house, albeith being surrended by woods.

 

What I read this month;

4 books read – Connexion mortelle / This wretched valley / Mister Magic / Méchantes Menteuses

 

 

 

August’s Highlights;

♥︎ Another good news, Sheik went to her second cardiologist appointment to check on her heart; if her medicine is working, if the mitral valve disease has progressed.. The dr itself came to congratulate mother & myself (she went for me as I was working), saying that he never seen it regressed so much! She’s staying on 2 vetmedin pills a day for now, we’re so relieved 🥰

♥︎ The day right before Sheik appointment, we had to bring her brother to the vet aswell as he somehow pulled a muscle in his shoulder🤦🏽‍♀️ I was happy that it wasn’t his back atleast, and regular vet was less pricey than his ER trip because of a wasp eaten.. Kafei is known to try to limbo under the fence- despite being too old for this 🤣

♥︎ Blogging wise, apart of my Let’s talk bookish and Randomized my TBR, I’ve posted; New releases I’ve read this year so far, Books i’d read on vacation, Seasonal depression.. in summer? and Autumn & Winter ’25 TBR.

♥︎ Gaming wise, I’ve been in a phase that I don’t know what to pick.. some Sims 4 here, back to Prison Architect..
