August ‘26 Wrap up ☁️

Good morning!

One more month spent from 2026, Let’s see how things went for me.

August’s feels;

This month was so Rock’n’Roll… and not in a good way. We started the month hopeful- lots of vet appointments. We went twice to our vet after Sheik left the ER to check her lungs Xrays. The first week she was given an anti-inflammatory medication, as the mucus she had in her lungs wasn’t moving (the antibiotics didn’t worked- oral and on IV), and the second week she had been given an inhaler of Fluticasone 125mcg twice a day. The vet told us it was our last option, her chronic lungs issues wasn’t working with us- her lungs kept being filled with mucus. For two weeks she had been doing fine, we even went to an outdoor wiener events to see our friends that we hadn’t seen in a long time .. and then she had another episode. At this point it had been only a month since she left the ER, and she still couldn’t breathe.. I had to let my baby go. She passed in my arms on the night of August 24th, at 11 years old.

Small good of the month, I befriended one of our customers at the Café and we’ve been talking alot. We hung out a few times, I’m making friends! It’s been officially a month at my new job, and everything is going good on that font- i’m not quite on my own yet, and ofcourse there’s some days better than others, but i’m happy. My new life with a morning job had taken less time to acclimate than I would’ve had thought, I now have so much time to myself & my two remaining boys.

What I read this month;

I finished only 3 books this time, the last one lasting me like 3weeks with all the things happening; La maison hantée / Messenger Cat Café L’appel de Cthulu

✈️ My book travels brought me in Canada (Québec), Japan/the afterlife & Canada (Québec)/France & Norway.
