Autumn makes me happy

Hey friends!

I’m really feeling the autumn mood this year; while last year I felt kinda numb to everything.. this year i’m extra excited!! Although we may not being in September yet, I just had to start decorating my room!

First thing firsts; I had to get out my autumn mug that was in my shelves in trade fro another one. Ofcourse I bought it just for that little dachshund there, but it has dogs all around the mug in fallen colored leaves! How cute is it?!

 

Besides the colored leaves, my fave thing remains the apple season, we always go apple picking the thanksgiving weekend (Oct 12-13 in Canada). My comfort dessert remains apples cooked with brown sugar & cinnamon, delicious! Pinneaple ham also is a must for thanksgiving; I’m not a fan of pinneaple but wierdly I love it when the ham is marinating in it! I’ll leave the pinneaple piece to my mother though.

I associate autumn with blankets, cosy & horror – like media loves to portrays. That’s also my favorite weather; an in-between between it feeling fresh but not so cold that you’re freezing. That sweet in-between weather where the humid heat gains some freshness and that you’re fine with just a cardigan or hoodie on.

My favorite scent also happens to be themed for autumn, as it’s the smell that makes me think of my godmother the most- her house and herself smelling of it; Apple cinnamon, apple cranberries, apple clove, anything among those lines!

 

Moving on to covering my room with some more festive autumn items; I’ve got a cute ghost hair pin & a one-piece pajama with occult print at hot topic, followed by decor from Michaels. I’ve got two candles, a cauldron that I filled with fake roses, a black cat dressed in mommie & a little ghost.
