Barking ‘Bout Books Tag 🐾

Good morning!

This tag has been created by my friend Erik @ Breakeven Books on booktube. He created this original tag in remembrance of his bestfriend that recently passed away ❤️

Wanting to bring more “dog” related stuff around here, of course I wanted to join on the fun! (and hey, tag time!!)

I’ve Got A Bone To Pick With You: Name a book that was good until it wasn’t (you were enjoying it and then it ended up disappointing you).
While this doesn’t happen often.. i’m gonna go with “Such a good girl” – It was interesting and enjoyable while I was reading it, but with more thoughts it ended up being kind of « Eh » and the teacher/student trope ends up not being something i’m okay with; hence why I never choosed to review that book.

Welcome Home: Name a book or series that gives you the warm feelings of home.
This usually happens with relatable anxiety/depression rep, but a serie in particular would be the “Les aventures de Tintins” comics, or even the find waldo books that I would read all the time in my childhood while at my godmother’s.

Ruffin It: Name a book that has a journey or travel element to it.
Let’s give a French and a english answer to this one; “En route vers nowhere“, where the whole story is within a roadtrip of two friends around the Quebec province. And “The heart between us“, where the MC goes into a trip around the world to fulfill her heart donor’s bucket list.

Marking Your Territory: Name a book or series that you will always stand by no matter what!
Without a doubt, The sovereign serie by Josie Jaffrey & The Celestial Creatures serie by Olga Gibbs!

Diggin Holes: A book that had some hidden secrets or had a big plot twist uncovered.
mmh- i’m quite easily thrown off by plot twitst in thrillers. Last one I read was “Swipe right for murder“; but another answer to this would be “Halo“, the last one in the celestial creatures serie – which is breaking into something I absolutely never saw coming.

Stand By Me: Name a book or series that portrayed a very loyal friendship between its characters.
Sadly no books come to mind right now.

Tug of War: A book you have very mixed feelings about.
Except of “such a good girl” mentionned earlier, this actually doesn’t happen too often for me.

TREATS: A book that you are super excited about and will reward yourself by reading it.
As I don’t follow the new released, i’m gonna interpret this as my next book i’m dying to read from my tbr shelf — as of which I sadly don’t have any that i’m specially dying to read at the moment.

Then tag some other booktubers (or bloggers) and share a little bit about your pets!

Getting them in the same picture is always a struggle; Kafei on the left & Sheik on the right. Mom’s halloween set-up for Halloween 2018’s photoshoot.

I have two dachshunds, a 6 years old male and his baby sister of 5 years old. They are both from the same breeder & parents; two standards black dapples smooth-haired dachshunds.
