Book Haul | August ’22 🌸

Good morning everyone!

Believe it or not, when I went onto my chapters website, I wasn’t having the idea of actually purchasing anything 😅 You see, goodreads was down and I had been wanting to find some nice french covers for one of my “English VS french cover” serie.

And then… I saw something that caught my eye and as I had taken 2 books out of my un-read shelf to donate… I figured hey why not buy some more :p

First book that I had jumped on; I had been wanting to read ANY Mariana Zapata as I have heard so much good things from her writing..  Thing is, I couldn’t find her books anywhere, none available onto my libby nor in physical form; so when I saw that we FINALLY had one in store — I just had to have it.

Ofcourse this one is the only novel that i’m missing from Ruth Ware, as it’s her last published, that I had been dying to get my hands on!! While I don’t particularly like this cover, it’s a “indigo exclusive” being signed & having a Q&A with Ruth.

Man- i’ve only been talking about this one for about a year.. 🤣 I still remember talking about how excited I was for the launch of this book when we were watching the Fear Street 1994 movie with my friend. Figured it was time for me to finally get to read it.

Okay, this one might’ve been picked up solely because I liked the different cover from the one i’ve seen.. BUT it was on my virtual-wanna-read list!!

Last but not least, I added another one from my very big virtual-wanna-read (I have passed 1k books.. so hard to pick!!); One of my recently-ish added. It’s about two families goes on a RV trip over the summer, one of the two teenager having had a “thing” for the other teenager but lost touch slightly, it planned for an awkward trip. Absolutely looking like a PERFECT summer read!

* Not pictured as my local Indigo didn’t had it in stock, so it’s coming at a later date from another province.
