Death at Morning House ~ Maureen Johnson β Book Review
Good morning!
Still in my spooky era, I picked up a mystery thriller π I gotta say it was my first novel by this author, as I haven’t read her Truly Devious serie, also one of the very few new release that I read so far!
4.5 / 5 stars

Keep or unhaul? Keep.
I appreciate a map was included! As I don’t read much fantasies, I don’t see those too often. The time travel between past & present were properly written aswell, in a way you weren’t confused by the timelines.
I found all the characters to be likeable enough, except Max for obvious reasons, so it was a pretty enjoyeable read!Β also, im sorry but a candle exploding and burning Β house on a first date is kinda hilarious to me π (nobody got hurt but furniture so.)
I was flabbergasted by both twist within the story, one for each present and past. The story was structured in a way where I was in agreeance of thinking it was X character.. that when later when the truth revealed itself to us, I wasn’t prepared!
