First line Friday ⇢ 13/05/22

Good morning!

We are back with this memes, which ofcourse is doomed to be a day early, as we know I don’t post on Fridays 😅 Again- we know by now, as it’s my third one, that I choose to do a paragraph of a few lines so we can grasp the idea better.

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by @Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines? If you want to make your own post, feel free to use or edit the banner above, and follow the rules below:

  • Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
  • Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
  • Finally… reveal the book

« A bank robbery. A hostage drama. A stairwell full of police officers on their way to storm an appartment. It was easy to get to this point, much easier than you might think. All it took was one single really bad idea. »

The book today is “Anxious people”! Finally reading it, after the praise i’ve read about it being a good anxious rep and everything… although to be honest, I’m about 20% in it and I still don’t quite understand what is going on 😅

Somehow, the first thing that did sprawn into my mind was how great this would look as a movie. Specially with the two different event being tackled at once.

Had you guessed it?
Did you enjoyed this book?
