Heey!
We are back on schedule to read a book in a proper amount of time.. and ithink that got me into a “RV adventures” type of book mood 😝 Thinking i’m gonna pick “Places we’ve never been” next.

Keep or unhaul? unhaul for me, I don’t wanna keep it
I was in for a treat with the MC, being an unreliable narrator; which I heavily feel is also neurodivergent. Her way of thinking is clearly different than the others, also as the fact that she forgets everything as soon as they’re out of sight are clear indicators to me.
We don’t know much of Red’s character going in either: we know that she’s maddy’s bestfriend, her family’s broke, and her mother died in function of her job. We later find out that her dad is alcoholic, Red needing to take care of him, and that her mother was the police chief of the town – which she’d been executed and Red’s still thinks it’s her fault that she died because she was the last to speak with her and hung up instead.
Despite it being literally a life or death situation, and even after knowing the one being the source of it, I LOVED the friendship « I’ll stand for you no matter the cost ». Maddy for Red all their lives, Arthur for Red, Red for Maddy. (Theoretically there’s also Oliver for Maddy.. but they’re siblings, and I don’t like him 😒)
Strong friendships like this are so hard to find, especially in books, so we love when we find them ❤️ I know in similar situations I would absolutely do the same for my very own soulmate bestfriend, and even for my mother & animals.
The one true secret they wanted, and everything else that happened after we found out was nothing that I would’ve had guessed.. and the ending letter did make me shed lots of tears.. wish that she would’ve had gone further and let us know the answer of the last question.
Well that convinced me to read it!
Happy to hear! Hope youd enjoy ☺️
