Happy stories in times of pandemic

Hello, and Happy easter everyone ❤️

This post is coming to you WAY later than usual; just because I came home yesterday absolutely brain fried, and earlier this morning I had a headache and I still needed a few hours of sleep 😅

But here I am now, and in case of what I had originally planned, I want us to share some happy stories that happens during this time of pandemic – because I think we need thoses kinds of stories, especially now, to see how us humans aren’t so bad.

* This idea could’ve been branched from the post from That Phat Girl Blog that i’ve read a few days ago, now; 5 ways to make someone’s day.

As I just said, i’m still working in my coffee shop during thoses times – and while I get a few super cute customers, and get to see few dogs here and there.. we still get some grumpy people. But let’s concentrate on the good ones, shall we?

♥ In the year and a half that i’ve work there, nobody asked what my ribbon on my wrist meant, NONE. Rather, they all concentrated on my heartbeat one on my chest (which was rather uncomfortable coming from older people). On my last hour of a 10hrs shift, right after a HUGE rush all on my own, this cute lady asked me what it meant… and I started bawling at her 🙃 She was super concerned, Oh no honey I didn’t wanted to make you cry !! but I think it was the tired out of the situation that made me behave like that.. anyway- as I gave her the debit machine to pay for her stuff we continued talking about it, she asked if I still lived with my mother and as I nodded yes, she said to give her a warm hug that night and left. She also gave me a story of her own, where she had started crying in front of customers — looking at the receipt afterward, she had tip me 5 dollars.

♥ As we don’t accept cash anymore, many has asked if they can still give us a cash tip; as of which yeah- they absolutely can. I got several answers after giving them the affirmative, one just yesterday handed me a 5$ bill and told me “This is for you! You’ve served me lot of times and I know you work hard” almost making me cry again 😂 I’ve got people telling me that it was the highlight of their day and so happy that we were still open.

I’ve still got my regulars that I see once or many times a day, everyday – One that I absolutely love always inquire of how I am that day, asks if i’m alone and until when my buddy will come.. and finish with Thank you so much for making my coffee, see you tomorrow!

♥ Of course, every time I see dogs in the car is a highlight aswell! Many times in a row, when we get a specific mobile order, This guy come to grab it walking at the window with his dog. I’m not sure what kind of dog he is, but a floofy and bigger kind (I wanna say maybe a cocker spaniel?) and he has snow goggles on !! 😄

There’s also this older mini dachshund called mocha that i’ve seen twice already – mine being standards, she’s like half of the size of them. My heart always go “BABY!!!” as she’s so smoll 😍 I gave her some whip cream the other day.. she literally threw herself in it haha

This is about the only ones that my scattery brain has for now!

Share your happy stories with us please ♥

  1. One of my co workers recently gave me some books to read over the holiday because they knew I love books and they needed to remove some space in the house. It’s nice when people gift you things <3
