June ‘25 Wrap up 🌻

It’s summertime!

We’ve already got a few heatwaves.. followed by days only 20 degrees celcius, when it was like 35 degrees just a few days ago 😅 Hoping we won’t be getting too much of a hot summer as both me & mother are intolerent to the heat due to our meds..

June’s feels;

Not too much things to say yet again.. I got to help a fellow dachshund owner by giving him some of the medication I wasn’t using; his had been on 4 diff medication, and they didnt renew the right one.. so he needed just a bit for the weekend before going to renew on monday before going on a trip. We had like over 50 pills left so I just gave him the rest as they were in my basket for over 5yrs (no expire date though); he kindly brought me a giftcard to a petstop 🥹.  The next day, one of our favorite old lady at work brought us surprises to me & 2 coworker, and got again another petshop giftcard! (but not same store)

Then on the 25th, Kafei gave us a scare. While I was working my shift, he came from outside looking limp with a painful neck and shaking. Mother tried to call me repetedly; when she finally got the hold of me on my break it had been about an hr. I had to get replacement for my 3hrs and left work to bring him to the ER. We stayed from 6-11pm – thankfully nothing major! While we don’t know what he did outside, maybe he ate a bee or something as his glands were swollen and the bottom of his neck hurted. We xrayed making sure nothing was stuck in his throat (all clear), gave him a shot of anti-inflammatory & anti-nauseum everything was fine. Coming back from the shots was the first time in that evening we saw him wag his tail. What a relief!
(not on my wallet, however)

 

What I read this month;

We finished 4 books this month; Vous êtes cordialement invités 2, Désaliéné, The Neighbor Favor & Youtumeurs #1 (reread). I’m currently reading the last of my Summer TBR’s books, From Lukov With love, which is quite a heavy one..
