The relationship between Jasper & Madeline became one of my favorite. Rivals to lovers is ofcourse one of my favorite trope, but they also had the kind of love that i’m going through right now; which is being exclusively with eachother, without « being with each other », aka no labels. Reading them gave me all the butterflies & what i’d call a Romance Rush. 

Something else that I share with Madeline, is how reluctant she is to commit to someone.. as she’s always expecting them to leave and reject her- just like Dahlia did. Among with trying to save her family’s bookstore, her story is also accepting to forgive her mother leaving them behind and allow her back into her life- believing she’s here for good and that she can trust her. 

I’m an absolute fan of reading about us book lovers- and not only does Madeline’s family owns a bookstore, but Jasper’s too!! (Though for him, it’s a bigger chain store) 

Her bestfriend Zelda, who works in her family bookstore aswell, ALSO is in the book community as a quite famous booktuber. The small details of filming a booktube videos, meeting an author and giving book recs.. aswell as generally gushing about books together is just wonderful!
