Last gaming obsession ~ Pokemon Alpha Sapphire
I had went back to coral island after my last Sims 2 obsession.. and I decided to whip out my good old 3ds for another oldie I had been craving for a few- which had been one of my favorite pokemon games ever! (Sapphire & silver specifically / alpha sapphire & soulsilver).
I would’ve played on game boy advance but unfortunately I had sold my sapphire copy… sooo the remake it is 🫣 still scratched the itch, so we fine.
I continued a file I had restarted in 2017! 😂 I wasn’t even that far ahead, before the first gym so everything was fine- I always pick the water starter.
One of the most annoying part of the older games being you need to keep pokemons for HM uses in your party.. or in your box if you really want to keep changing them/don’t use that HM often. For one, i’m happy recent games removed that!
My team consist of; gardevoir (❤️), beautifly, mightyena, Latias, Contest pikachu & Swampert (❤️). I’m only playing with two favorites, the others not being pokes i’d usually play with.
One of my favorite part of the gameplay is the contests! As i’ve always been a side-quests gal, this little “on the side” game that’s not even part of the story wins me over. Same as the digging underground in Pokemon Diamond/pearl.
however, one that I would’ve love to get more of has been secret bases.. but as I don’t have friends to play with, I can basically just have mine..

I bought The Sims 2 when they put it up for purchase recently, was so excited, then got frustrated with the keyboard shortcut controls and gave up lol. But I do want to try again, it’s been so long since I’ve played it. I’m glad you’ve been having fun with it and now this! Would you believe I’ve never played a single Pokemon game? I can prob only name like three Pokemon 😅
Oh no! For someone who only ever played computer, im surprised they didnt bothered me that much (though I switched them to community controls- first it wasnt going well 🙈)
That’s okay! Theres games i havent played either- like fire emblem or crash bandicoot ahah; i was late to the party for harvest moon too
