Last gaming obsession; Spirittea

Good morning!

I had been looking for something else to play, as i’ve been going back to ToTk and Sims 4, before this game launched! I first seen it on a post from @MyPotatoGame on Twitter.

The goal in this cosy game is to manage a Spirit Bath House. The new city our character is moving into is overrun by spirits, causing chaos. It is now our role to drink the Spirit Tea and go find them, as they’re usually the cause of a villager’s problems, and appease them.

First you have to clean and renovate it for them to be happy, aswell as little tasks like cleaning the towels, put logs in the heater.. and later you can even cook for them & place elixir in their bath water! The spirits are paying “per session”, so that’s how we do our money to buy our stuff & renovations!

I personally think 8bit graphics like that are super cute!!

Along managing the Bath House, you also gain friendship with the town folks (which can come help!), go bug-catching & fishings, aswell as going on the hunt for the shrine’s desired items. I was scared that this game would’ve been a small one, but look at all the pamphlet stuff !! I’m only 8% in the game so far, so it’s looking pretty average lenght, which I love that.

Our character is also a fiction writer- so every spirit that we help gives us inspiration to write another chapter off our novel.

I’m just a bit sad that we can’t sell our bugs/fishes right away, as i’m used to animal crossing being one of the ways for us to get money.. but ithink I found a way for my bath house to gain me as much money as I can per day, so that’s okay!

I was also very confused as onto how sleeping worked, I thought we could only sleep 1hr every time.. until I realised I could slide the bar to sleep longer 😆🤦🏽‍♀️

It’s just a very cute game where you can go at your own pace, and it kind of makes me think a bit of the “diner dash” era of my childhood? the work tasks are mindless and repetitive, and this game would be perfect to game along with listening to an audiobook!

Bonus, this dude, hilarious when you think I work at a coffee shop

What do you think, would you enjoy it ?
