Let’s talk Bookish ➙ Is 3 Stars a “good” rating ?

Good morning!
To change things up a little, we’re actually early for once 😅 Funny story, this was actually something I was *just* thinking about writing the other day!

Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme hosted by Rukky @ Eternity Books and Dani @ Literary Lion. Where we discuss certain topics, share our opinions, and spread the love by visiting each other’s posts.

📚 September 4th; Is 3 Stars a “Good” Rating? (Dani’s Topic)

For me, the 3 stars rating is like my “neutral” rating; As I don’t use half stars, this is my middle ground. Generally speaking, I do see it as a good rating.

Just like all my other stars though, they don’t all have the same weight. It ranges from “eh, it was just okay” to “Good read! but nothing more than that”.

When I hop on other bloggers’ wrap up or reviews and I see that they gave a book a 3 stars, it certainly doesn’t give me any bad vibes about the book or anything – I personally think that a month consisting of mainly 3-stars read is a good reading month!

While of course it could’ve been better, the book still gave some enjoyment and was fun for the time it lasted.

Are 3 stars rating a good one for you?

  1. Three stars for me always means it was a good book! Anything less than that gets two stars or one star. I see three stars as a good rating. I rate 90% of books three stars.

    1. Most of my reads get rated four- but i feel like that’s only because I know what my liked novels are like xd exception of arcs.

  2. I agree with everything you wrote – three stars is my middle rating. I don’t think badly of any book I rate 3 stars, but they’re not my favourites.
