Let’s talk bookish ➙ Should all romance have a HEA?

Good morning, Everyone!

Let’s Talk Bookish is a bookish meme that was created by Rukky @ Eternity books where each Friday, bloggers write posts discussing the topic of the week! Since the beginning of April, the meme has been taken over by Aria @ Book Nook Bits; She also created the pretty new graphics!

❀ July 8: Should all Romances have Happily Ever Afters (HEAs)? (Dedra @ A Book Wanderer)

Prompts: Do you like romances with happy endings? Do you think that all romances should have happy endings? Why or why not? What are some of your favorite romances with Happily Ever Afters?

Absolutely! The world is already a sad place, leave that out of my books – far away as possible 😅 I’m a sucker for romance, and while I do aspire to live my own fairytale, I don’t see myself dating anytime soon ahah; so I get my fix from my books for the moment.

I do believe that love conqueer all, and that love will always win in the end. However; what people don’t usually realize, is that love is a choice more than a feeling. You do need to choose to continue and love them over and over through hard times, and not take the road at the first difficulties.. for that, Second chance romances are my favorites 🥰

I mainly only read HEA, here’s my favorites last reads;

  • Second Breath [Gr]
  • It sounded better in my head [Gr]
  • The love hypothesis [Gr]
  • Today Tonight Tomorrow [Gr]

Are you also a fan of HEA?
Which romance did you last enjoyed?

  1. I LOVEEE a good HEA but I’ve read a few where it ends in sadness or a character dies 😭 those are the most heartbreaking but they teach a lesson. If there is a sad ending, it has to teach a good lesson. (Like “The Fault in Our Stars” or “Instructions for Dancing”)

    1. OhNO instruction for dancing has a sad ending?? Ah shucks.. 💀
      Yeah- though id say you’re right- some lessons are good to learn and all that, but it need to be WELL for sure! Can’t promise I won’t throw the book though 😅🤣
