Little things I enjoy in Erotica books

Little things I enjoy in Erotica books

Good morning my loves!

What a better time to speak eroticas than within the month of love, am I right? 😘 Now please consider i’m not an experienced reader in this genre at all.. I only read one book thus far, First in, but here’s some elements that i’m really looking forward into the next books i’d pick up!

❤︎ Older Virgins
I personally got my first real serious relationship in my late 20s.. and within a society where sex is glorified, and most people seems to get sexually active at 12, seeing a female MC being virgin at 24 like me was amazing!

❤︎ Being silly during sexy times
Being able to laugh with your partner during that time is actually really healthy, though sadly something I had never experienced before. I truly enjoyed seeing them being silly, laughing together, and sometimes even going as far as falling off the bed while in the act!

❤︎ Consent (!!)
Sadly way too many of us, me included, hasn’t been properly educated that what we experienced was really sexual assault — feeling obligated to have a relation because of X or Y, and not because you’ve wanted it. The presence of consent and visuals of both parties wanting this to happen is really A++.

❤︎ The aspect of “making love”; worshiping of her body
While the sexy time is happening, really feeling the love through every touch and actions.. To me you can’t separate the two- I wouldn’t be able to nor would wanna read sex without the love attached. Bonus when the male MC recomfort the female MC about her body; being a heavier or “pudgier” person, seeing tiny bodies as being the glorified one within our society, having him being so delicate and loving to the extra meat is (!!!!). Give me healty all body are sexy, i’m here for it!

What else is a must for your erotica picks?
Following my preferences, do you have recs I should read?

  1. Came here from booksandtea. Love this entry, especially because this is exactly the kind of thing I love knowing about readers, genres, and subgenres! Excellent idea and answers!

  2. This was an interesting read. I only read one of these type of books and while it was certainly entertaining, it was also quite ridiculous. It seems like you found one of the good ones.

    1. Off yes, i’ve seen some thing written by male authors that are simply not how our body works 🤣🤣

  3. We love that you mentioned consent, which is the most important! We also like that you mentioned the age factor. It’s important for books to remind that there’s no “wrong” age to lose your virginity.

    1. Absolutely! Both are really important to remind us about; even more the younger ladies that might be reading (though it is for older peeps, some teenager might go for them too 😅)

    1. Happy to hear! Definately two very important ones, I dont really understand liking to read something without consent?? I- this is very wierd to me 😰
