Mini reviews ☆ If I never met you, Tales from the Café & I hope this doesn’t find you

I actually like doing these and combining few books in the same post. So here’s my last three books i’ve read!

This book had been standing on my shelves for so long.. at first an office “grown up” romance, I wasn’t too keen on it- but then as it was on my Spring TBR I decided to give it a go.. unfortunately, it wasn’t quite what I was promised.
That’s one thing I don’t like about adult books- this was taking so much time to mull over their separations and yada yada.. at 25%, we still hadn’t started the fake dating yet- which is too long for me as I had no intention on wanting to read about that.
Tales from the Café, Toshikazu Kawaguchi

When I had first read before the coffee gets cold, I had said I wasn’t sure I was gonna read the others in the serie- well I changed my mind as I read this as an audiobook; I hadn’t known what I was in the mood to read and it was available to me in a format I hadn’t touch this year yet. I thought het why not!
Not much had happened since the first one, this is set 7yrs after the first novel and although it does look back from pas customer’s experiences, I do think it could work as a standalone of sort where you wouldn’t need to read the first beforehand. The last story especially made me cry, I love how the final morale of the novel being “you owe your lost ones your hapiness. Your hapiness is their legacy; otherwise they’d have died in vein”
I hope this doesn’t find you, Ann Liang

I had been highly hyped for this one as a new release, which ofcourse i’m only reading it now.. 😓This was the absolute opposite from the first one, we were already in the deep of it in Chapter 3 and omg- what a ride!
I absolutely love rival-to-lovers, always. The angst between Sadie & Julius, I’ve been pinning for them SO much 😭 Their bickering was funny at times, but also heatbreaking in others- especially towards the end.
Have you read either of these?
did you enjoyed them?
