New gaming obsession & hyped release ☆ My time at Portia & Sims 4 warewolf pack

Good morning!!

Time for another gaming obsession; in January, we talked about Spiritfarer & Best friend forever. Since then I’ve went back to SoS pioneer of Olivetown, to go back to spiritfarer (which I nearly finished the game now.. but not quite) — recently I had been at lost of what to play, so I booted up Sims 4 for a bit.

And as with SpiritFarer, I’ve read Meaghan’s mini gaming review of My time at portia; it had been on my wishlist for quite a long time.. and I finally caved and decided it was time for me to buy it, again with another sale happening, and i’ve been non-stop playing since then!

My time at Portia [Steam/Switch]

At first I have to say I thought it would be so much more farming than that- which was what I was taken aback for, as it wasn’t particularly what I was in the mood to play. I like the detail that it’s in a futuristic world, and today’s technology are taken as desuet and old-timey.

The game is so much more focused on crafting, mining & foraging; aswell as taking orders & “sidequests” to create things for the villagers and help the town develop. There’s a small amount of combat too, but the easy type that I can just smash button without being too too complicated ahah

Sims 4, Warewolf pack

My most favorite pack in Sims 3 had been the supernatural one – Though I’m hopeful to see fairies coming back eventually, I did like the foraging/hunting of the warewolves, so overall i’m pretty hyped to see them coming up!

I like that they added two different clans, having a different lifestyle to each, to me this makes it so much more interesting! The look of them have improved quite alot since then too.. definately looks more wold than sims, unlike their sims 3 counterpart. Ithink they looks a bit funky as i’m not used to it yet xd

Release date; June 16th

  1. I bought My Time at Portia a few months ago and was immediately hooked! I haven’t played it in a little while though, but I will get back to it once I finish some other games I’ve started. While I do love farming sims, I do like how this is one more focused on the crafting and commissions. I’m also looking forward to My Time at Sandrock!

I wish I liked TS4! And actually this new werewolf pack has piqued my interest because in TS2 and TS3 probably 90% of my Sims are occult! I do agree that fairies need to make a return as they are my most played other than aliens. I boot up TS4 maybe once or twice a year to try to get into it and I just can’t! Then I convince myself it’s because I don’t have all of the EPs, and GPs, and SPs, and now Kits! I have to talk myself out of putting hundreds of dollars into a game that I probably still won’t like, but maybe I will? I don’t know! I guess I’m just going to wait for the eventual TS5 and of course, Paralives!

    1. Yes!! I wasn’t particularly feeling for a farming game specifically.. so I was pleasently surprised too!! I do love comission-based or « sidequest » alot ahah. Ohh what?! We’re getting another? Nice I didn’t knew that!!

Ah yeah, that makes sense.. it is pretty blend without any of it- and im really bad🤣 I need to buy EVERYTHING.. they do be making money with me ahaha
Ouf yeah. Though iknow TS5 is probably coming eventually, it still feels so far-fetched?! I can’t believe we’re moving on in years, that becomes decenies, in what seems like an instant 💀 without really realizing it. I just hope when it does come out, that I wont have to wait forever again to be able to play on my mac. Yes ive seen paralives too!! Def want.

  2. Can’t wait to try the werewolf expansion on The Sims, I have been wanting to get back to it, but I know that I spend too many days on it after! But it sounds like a must try x

    1. Yesss so happy it finally drops tomorrow 👀👀 one of those games you obsessively play, and then forget about it for months on end ahah
