Good morning, peeps!
Yep, we are just gonna continue onto my āNew Year postsā strikeā here šĀ ahah
[only separing this one and the other three with a review in-between; Things I need to remind myself of in 2020, end of 2019 start of 2020 Bujo post & Resolutions/Goals 2019 VS 2020].
Iāve been tagged by the creator of this, Isabelle @ Nine Tale VixenĀ the other day and felt like this was just a perfect one for today, as iāve been KOed by an awful headache and so.. this is a āeasyā one to do š Ā I also donāt wanna push it too far away either because well ā it wonāt be the new year no more, you feel me?!
Ā
Auld Lang Syne: A Childhood Favorite You Want to Reread
Itās not THAT deep into childhood, as it was teenager-me (atleast 13? maybe?), but I found two thatās sitting on my shelves and I SO wanna reread; Gabrielle Zevinās āMemoirs of a teenage amnesiacā, and Simone Elkelesās āPerfect Chemisteryā
Ā
In With the New: The Most Recent Addition to Your TBR
That would be Lexa Hillyerās āFrozen Beautyā that I added on Jan 3rd after reading Mayumiās anticipated reads of 2020.
Ā
Countdown: An Upcoming Release Youāre Excited About
Although I have new realeases on my virtual wanna read shelf, prompted by fellow book bloggers and their anticipate reads posts, I canāt say that I have one in particular that iām over-hyped with and counting the days or anything like that.
Ā
Champagne: A Bubbly, Light Read
Iām kinda scared to be wrong and have nobody agreeing with me hah,Ā and also my memory is kinda effy with things like that, But I felt like Emery Lordās āWhen We Collidedā was a bubbly and light read for me. This book just radiated so much of the teenagerās freedom, make me wanna stroll around town and having fun with a boyfriend, just.. enjoying life!
Ā
Sparklers: A Literary Couple With Bright, Hot Chemistry
Took me a few minutes to think of ā but I gotta say I STILL canāt get over Mia & Will from RenĆ©e Carlinoās āSweet thingā. We get this full angst romance of them two having a chemistery together at 100% ā but one of them not wanting to fall in it because she donāt wanna lose it .. but the further you get, the further it is just impossible to shrug away. I definately need to give this one a re-read!
Ā
Noisemaker: An Attention-Catching Cover Design
Ā
Ā
Hangover: A Trope You Canāt Seem to Avoid
I canāt say I really have a hatred trope ā I do, however, always find myself attracted to the same ones šĀ Internet pals, bad guy with the āintelligent/perfectā girl .. if thereās a book with thoses, you bet iām gonna wanna read it!
Ā
First: A Book You Love But None of Your Friends Have Read (Yet)
That.. include basically a WHOLE LOT ahaha šĀ The only one I could find that NONE of my Goodread friends has read though, was Linda Olssonās āThe black bird sings at duskā.
(but that only includes the books that I had read after creating a Goodread though ā and not including the Quebec-french only written books)
Ā
Resolutions: Your Bookish Goals for the New Year
As seen in my Resolution post linked above, actually 3/4 of mine are bookish this year xd
- This is the year where I ACTUALLY try my first audiobook!
- Following last year, I must try to develop my daytime reading still; opposed to only reading at night-time.
- My Goodread goal is 20 books this time; that I will additionally track which ones were English/French and Physical/Ebook.
