Physical VS electronic Bujo

Physical VS electronic Bujo

Hello!

This is something that has been rolling in my head for quite a while now; my anxiety grow some concerns sometimes where I’m thinking of the negative impact using a physical bullet journal might cause on the planet.. needing trees to make the paper and all that.

Do you prefer to use a physical or electronic bullet journal?

While I have been using and liking e-books, I’m still a little old fashioned in term of liking things to be physical. Especially things like notebooks and bullet journals, as I’d rather writing with a pen rather than a keyboard/touchscreen.

Being only 25, it’s a thing that i’ve grown with the technology; however, keeping a journal or even using the school’s planner had always been a hard thing for me – as i’d either forget, or not care at all. Having it physical and in my face helped me get into the habits.. so I fear that switching after only a full year of using it would make me backtrack.

In the same time, although purchasing the physical book is not helping our planet, because of the offer and the demand rule, I’m not causing any “unnecessary waste” as I don’t throw them away afterward.

It’s clear that I cannot re-use them; but however, I like to keep them on my shelves in case I need to go back and check what I’ve done in months prior or something.

I’ve seen somewhere on the internet the creation of a “re-usable” notebook; where you’d be able to take pictures or download what you wrote on the pages onto a computer, and then get the paper back onto a blank slate.

I actually quite like this idea! But as it’s just in development and not broadly made yet, there’s the cost that must be quite “higher” versus simply using a traditional or electronic manner. That’s not even talking about possibly needing a specific kind of pen to be able to get it to erase.
