Randomizing my TBR #11 | Apr 14, ’24

Good morning!

At the moment this will go up I will already be working, as I got my first since covid opening at work today.. a 615am to noon shift, which i’m usually in the afternoon closing the store at 8pm so we’ll see how that goes. 😅 Anyway time to remove more books off my list! I’m keeping the same mood as last time as it was quite easy for me to remove some so let’s continue on that selection.

This TBR game/whatever you wanna call it – is entirely my own idea (though the concept of TBR games are not original). You are more than welcome to do it yourself, but I would like credit; @DBsguidetothegalaxy.

  • The Steps; Go to your want-to-read shelf. Click to show 10 books (for Goodreads, that’s down at the bottom). Also on Goodreads, click to sort the books by random.
Now you have 10 random books!Decide what to do with them – remove, read right now, or just… leave it on the tbr shelf lol. What I did which isn’t very smart, lol, is create two additional tbr shelves.

So, because I use Storygraph, mine will be done a bit different.. as it doesn’t allow me to randomize 10 books just yet. So today’s mood will be “Challenging”, “fiction”, and I choosed to be shown “pub date: earliest first”. I will then proceed to take the first 10 it gives me.

Virtual wanna read shelf before altercations; 1158 books.

The books i’ve gotten today;

  • The importance of being wilde at heart, R. Zamora Linmark [SG]
  • The deep, Rivers Solomon [SG]
  • So we can glow, Leesa Cross-Smith [SG]
  • Days of distraction, Alexandra Chang [SG]
  • A song below water, Bethany C. Morrow [SG]
  • Loathe at first sight, Suzanne Park [SG]
  • Seven percent of Ro Devereux [SG]
  • The right side of reckless, Whitney D. grandison [SG]
  • Right where I left you, Julian Winters [SG]
  • Empty Smiles, Katherine Arden [SG]

Keeping:

The right side of reckless, right where I left you, empty smiles, Seven percent Ro Devereux

Removing:

The importance of being wilde at heart, the deep, so we can glow, days of distraction, a song below water, loathe at first sight

Virtual wanna read shelf after altercations; 1152 books!

Now in this bunch I do remember quite a few of them, hyped ones too like The deep & A song below water, but we know how I don’t handle fantasy that well – so I choose to remove all the seemingly too high fantasy off my list to be realistic & respectful of myself.. but ofcourse I can always add them back on if I ever get strong enough to get into high fantasy!

Iknow 1-2 of these we’ve seen before, but I kina had to include them because the selection with the mood only had so many on them that I couldn’t get another brand new 10 😅 Regardless, ithink that was also a good one as for how much I removed!

Have you read any of those?
