Randomizing my TBR #21 | Sept 8th, ’24

Heylo!

It’s been a whole month since we cleaned some of my TBR, can you believe it? let’s see the damage!

Adding new books onto TBRs are so addictive!! But hey, atleast we are removing old ones we barely remember to make place for new ones, right.. would you imagine the numbers of books on my list if we hadn’t?  👀

This TBR game/whatever you wanna call it – is entirely my own idea (though the concept of TBR games are not original). You are more than welcome to do it yourself, but I would like credit; @DBsguidetothegalaxy.

  • The Steps; Go to your want-to-read shelf. Click to show 10 books (for Goodreads, that’s down at the bottom). Also on Goodreads, click to sort the books by random.
Now you have 10 random books!Decide what to do with them – remove, read right now, or just… leave it on the tbr shelf lol. What I did which isn’t very smart, lol, is create two additional tbr shelves.

So, because I use Storygraph, mine will be done a bit different.. as it doesn’t allow me to randomize 10 books just yet. So today’s mood will be “reflective”,fiction”, and I choosed to be shown “pub date: earliest first”. I will then proceed to take the first 10 it gives me.

Virtual wanna read shelf before altercations;  1202 books.

Removing:

They both die at the end (for now), Top Ten, as you wish, the beauty that remains, twelve steps to normal, the surface breaks

Virtual wanna read shelf after altercations; 1196 books.

Sometimes i’m not quite sure how I feel about books, removing them just because I feel “meh” about them, other times… I just don’t wanna feel the sad? do you feel me? 🫣 As always the remove isn’t set in stone, I might shove them back on at a later date if I feel interrested again.

Have you read any of those?
